I was tasked with building a front end that could be used in a demo to Jaguar/Land Rover for a potential new application that allowed owners of high end cars to replay their drives. This included showing routes on Google Maps, managing cars and interaction with a Unity3D based engine to render the route.

Built a static website for a product demo/pitch to Jaguar Land Rover. The website allowed the user to manage their inventory of cars, see each car’s list of replay recordings and most importantly, hook into the Unity3D applet to launch a car replay. The replay would hook into an existing game engine, and reply telemetry data from the loaded car/session.

I also set up and configured a Jenkins, to enable automated builds of the Unity3D project. This increased the deployment frequency, as the applet could then be picked up/loaded by the front end when as soon as new releases were available.

Unfortunately I only got to work for a month at Eutechnyx, as there were redundancies made just 4 weeks after joining. Since I was the “last one in”, I was also “the first one out” when it came to the selection process. I was aware that the Games Industry was somewhat turbulent, but I did not expect that. I could also see that Eutechnyx was kind of two companies, also operating a ZeroLight product which I think was getting more focus than the games that Eutechnyx produced. Which would also explain why the product I was working on was not really related to a game.
